  • Residents of Eindhoven can access municipal support in the social domain, covering areas such as employment, income, debt, parenting, and housing. However, the collective processes, systems, and individuals contributing to this support are often complex, creating challenges for both residents and professionals. In response, Eindhoven has initiated the ‘Simpler Social Services’ program.

  • Working alongside residents and professionals, we explored ways to simplify the organization in the future together with the expertise of Municipality Eindhoven, Simpact and RadarAdvies, a national agency with extensive knowledge and experience in the social domain across various municipalities. In September 2023, we conducted several design sessions. During these sessions, residents and operational professionals from the municipality, WIJeindhoven, and Ergon collaborated on designing the ideal path for residents in the future.

The outcomes of these design sessions are being developed for three scenarios that depict simpler structures for the social services in Eindhoven. The collective results of the sessions are currently being finalized, including financial calculations. In the second half of 2024, the scenarios will be presented to the city council.
